AED?
Hey, tell me, who knows what AED really stands for?
No, definitely would not be me!
Hmmm…okay, I have no choice but to tell you frankly, hey, I really afraid of guessing words from short form.
Why?
Hey, interesting question!
Ha~ you know why?
Because…because…sigh…somehow, I always would find myself just that blank and stuck whenever I face with short form…( oohhhhh…sooooooo embarrassing to let you know all these…)
Okay, let’s back to the topic anyway.
I have now found out what AED actually stands for. Yes, somehow it needs to be accomplished by some “hard” researching and studying…shhhhh….
AED ~ Automatic External Defibrillators.
Well? I bet you have come across with it, at least now.
It’s actually a small and light weight portable electronic device. Yes, a device that can audibly prompt and deliver an electric shock that will disrupt or stop the heart’s dysrhythmic electrical activity.
The AED delivers electric current to the heart muscle, momentarily stunning the heart, stopping all activity. Thus, it gives the heart an opportunity to resume beating effectively…
It can restore too, a normal heart rhythm in victims of sudden cardiac arrest, which may be a heart attack or sudden death…
The shock will not start a dead heart though, but it will stop certain lethal rhythms and give the heart a chance to spontaneously re-establish an effective rhythm on its own.
According to the American Heart Association, CPR rescue attempts using electric defibrillation or AED’s improves survival rates by as much as 49%.
Hey, amazing! Isn’t it?
Life saving…a great and noble ever deed, apparently, besides CPR, AED too, does the same contribution.
Don’t get me wrong though, the AED treats only a heart in ventricular fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm.
In cardiac arrest without ventricular fibrillation, the heart does not respond to electric currents, but needs medications. The victim also needs breathing support.
And it is sad but a real fact that AED is less successful when the victim has been in cardiac arrest for more than a few minutes, especially if no CPR was provided.
So can you realize now that how important it is to qualified yourself with a CPR certificate?
Oh ya, of course I would not like to forget to let you know that AED is most effective when standards are in place for appropriate training, equipment maintenance and ongoing quality of care monitoring. I bet you know all these…
Just for your information here…
When a person suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, the chance of survival decreases by 7 percent to 10 percent for each minute that passes without defibrillation. The American Red Cross estimates that 50,000 lives could be saved each year if AEDs were widely used.
So, what’s on your mind then?
Get yourself well trained?
Well, why not?
The training would definitely enable you to have the confidence to respond quickly and safely to life threatening emergencies situation. The knowledge and life saving skills of First Aid and CPR and AED you learn can help you save a life anywhere, anytime when you least expected.
Somehow, this is the kind of attitude I have been leading all in my life. Always be ready for emergency when it strikes!
So get yourself well trained and armed with some medical knowledge, CPR qualification, get yourself well trained too with AED of course, well, a few hours of training will do.
Don’t worry, be confident. It’s easy to use AED after you have that few hours training…
It’s not that complicated actually…
Feel hard to believe huh? Come on, do have some confidence, and it’s always so important to have confidence, yes, in every aspects of your life…
Okay, now…here it goes the way…
1. Turn AED on. Follow voice prompts.
2. Apply electrode pads on patient’s bard chest.
3. If prompted, press shock button. The AED will determine if patient needs defibrillation shock.
Easy huh? But like I say it must always be well trained before anything…
Somehow…Life is precious to everyone of us…and I know you know it well than me.
Treasure, treasure and save whenever, and wherever we can.
Get an AED by side, always, no matter it is for groups or personal, business, school, gym, church, medical office, public areas, workplace, home…etc.,
As the training and knowledge both do matter, though, don’t overlook the product’s warranty. It’s always the common yet important issue that most of us tend to overlook…
Always bear this in mind…Get a brand new AED with fully factory warranty. Don’t ever forget, complete satisfaction is what you always looking for, oh no, I mean we all pursue complete satisfaction, am I right?
Further more…it’s about life saving…
Curious huh for the reason I am having such a long post here for this AED?
Hmmm…well, may be I am always the serious person that serious towards health…or may be the main and real reason is that…I lost my beloved mom because of her sudden leaving back in the year of 1991…that was a really bad and sad experience of mine…since then, and till now, oh no, should I tell you that how bad I miss my beloved mom all these years?
It really hurts me…and so my father and my family…
So…that’s the real reason why I can fully focus on my health and fitness. I don’t care I am always the crazy lady in others’ eyes…I don’t care what people think of me when they always see me doing all my workout so hard and maintaining my fit and healthy body…I don’t care what’s in their mind when I always love to get myself sweat all over after my challenging classes and workout…
I do feel great and energetic, well confident as well after all those what they so called crazy classes…
Ha~ crazy classes?
Hmmm…well, to some of them, may be.
To me…NOPE!
I never ever have such thought that the classes are that crazy.
To me, it’s even a crazy issue when we can take care of ourselves but we didn’t pay much attention on it…
Somehow most of the people just don’t bother what has not happen to them and just won’t worry what would be happened to them until it really happens…
Cool huh?
Or…I should say it is weird or it is sad instead…
Anyway, let’s take care good care of ourselves…no matter how…now and forever…when we still can be in the good condition to take care of ourselves…
Do I sound sad and pessimistic?
A bit?
Ha~ don’t worry, I am always a cheerful ever girl though I may sad always.
Hey, can’t catch me right?
Well, it’s not that important actually, what’s that really matters is that we need to get ourselves upgraded always…regardless it’s our thought, our personality, our knowledge, our health or our life style…
Listen! And pay fully attention!
People around can’t actually help you but yourself…yes, only you yourself!
I love the lifestyle of mine very much for the time being, and I will continue to enjoy such lifestyle of mine…yes, always, now and forever, an energetic, lively, active, gorgeous, cheerful and a bit naughty lifestyle of mine…
You would never experience how great it is when you have a healthy body to jump up and down… to run here and there…to turn left and right…to stretch hands and legs…to arch and to bend your body…
Oops…sorry…I mean you would never know that how great and fun it is when you can really treasure every moment of your current health…hehe, you would never know how meaningful your life is with the healthy body until you discover it.
People tends to forget and overlook or I should say people tends to disdain to what they have until they lost it…
Agree with me huh?
Give me a high five then if you do!
YES!!! I need a five from you!
